Specifically, the Detonator Production Division is located at the foot of the Jemez Mountains, minutes from the Valles Caldera and is part of the Manhattan Project National Park. DET-3 is part of a fast paced manufacturing environment that manages production control; packaging and transportation (P&T); supply chain management of weapons program related items, process materials and programmatic equipment; operations management software programming; production scheduling; classified and HE parts inventory operations; as well as other operations support functions for detonator research and development fabrication, and war reserve (WR) production operations to enable detonator manufacturing in support of the national defense missions.
Additional Details:
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
