What You Need
Desired Skills: Broad working knowledge of the Laboratory mission, organizations, programs, scientific capabilities, policies and procedures, and key personnel
Education: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Notes to Applicants: This is a casual, part-time position, and as such, is not eligible for benefits including vacation accruals or overtime/holiday pay. This position requires some travel within northern New Mexico supporting STEM programs and Educational Outreach.
The Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) Community Partnerships Office (CPO) is seeking educators for the Bradbury Science Museum (BSM). The Museum's mission is to stimulate interest in and increase basic knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and increase public understanding and appreciation of LANL’s accomplishments. The position will engage in activities that support the development of Laboratory employment pipeline and workforce initiative.
Additional Details:
No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Term position: Regular-status Laboratory employees applying for term-status positions may retain regular status with approval of the cognizant Principle Associate Director.
