What You Need
· A doctoral degree in physics, engineering, astrophysics, applied mathematics or a closely related field completed within the last five years or soon to be completed.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Desired Skills:
· Experience running large, parallel codes in a high-performance, Unix computing environment.
· Experience in fielding and analysis of experimental data.
· Experience in modeling ICF/HED experiments.
· Record of achievement in Thermonuclear burn physics, MHD, Plasma physics (theory, simulation, code development), Plasma transport and turbulence, or Kinetic plasma effects.
Education Required: PhD in physics, engineering or a closely related discipline. Applicants typically have completed a postdoctoral appointment in a related field.

Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary
