What You Need
· Experience developing and applying isotopic and other geochemical collection, analysis and modeling techniques to understand hydrological and/or biogeochemical sources, pathways and processes in watersheds.
· Demonstrated ability to plan and safely execute strenuous field work in harsh weather conditions; ability to carry heavy pack loads.
· Demonstrated ability to publish peer-reviewed papers, effective written and oral communication skills, willingness to work in a team environment, ability to work within prescribed safety, security and personal conduct protocols.
Desired skills:
· Experience in Arctic field research especially permafrost hydrology and active layer biogeochemistry.
· Numerical modeling experience using tracers, isotopes, or with geochemical codes (e.g., PHREEQC). Statistical data analysis tools.
Education: Ph.D. requirements by commencement of the appointment and be within 5 years of completion of the Ph.D.
