The position will provide office ergonomics services to employees within Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and has the potential to expand into learning non-office ergonomics scenarios as well. The position provides support to deployed evaluators and will serve its own direct customers through face-to-face evaluations.
Reporting to the EHAWT Team Leader, this position will be responsible for: performing professional office ergonomic evaluations for customers so they promptly receive recommendations and equipment; supporting core ergonomics programs used by deployed ergonomic evaluators; providing educational services to LANL employees such as staffing health fairs and providing ergonomics-related presentations to employees; assisting with special projects for core LANL projects as needed. There is the opportunity to work with non-office evaluations depending on the selected candidate’s interest but the position will focus primarily on office scenarios.
This position is required to promote safety, security, and quality in all operations; promote teamwork within and across the Laboratory, and promote a positive work environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Desired Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in ergonomics, physical therapy, kinesiology, occupational therapy, industrial engineering, sports science or related fields from an accredited university. Degree must have been awarded within the past 3 years.

The position will be housed within the Ergonomics, Health, and Wellness Team (EHAWT), part of Occupational Health, whose mission is focused on creating a safe and healthy workforce through injury prevention and health promotion services and programs. Both are contained within the Occupational Health and Safety Division, an Environment, Safety and Health (ADESH) Directorate multi-disciplinary and cross-functional organization with a focus on integrating health protection and health promotion services and programs for the Laboratory to enable mission success.
Additional Details:
No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
