The Fluid Dynamics and Solid Mechanics (T-3) group is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in methods and model development for computational fluid dynamics. The successful candidate will work on a team developing parallel simulation software for addressing turbulent reactive flows and multiphase flows in complex geometries with fluid-structure interaction. What You Need
Demonstrated knowledge and experience and a strong publication record in one or more of the following areas:
Strong communication and language skills as evidenced by publications and a cover letter.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with adaptive finite element methods, turbulent compressible flow, reactive flow or combustion, front-tracking methods, particle laden flows and solution algorithms and advanced turbulence modeling techniques for variable density flows that may be composed of multiple phases.
Education: A Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related field completed within the past 5 years is required.
