The Research Library seeks an experienced Metadata Librarian with broad knowledge of industry standards and practices. The focus of this position is to develop, document, maintain and apply standards and procedures for creating metadata used to manage, preserve, and provide access to digital content. The successful candidate will advise on ontology and metadata schema development within the context of emerging linked data and semantic web applications. Utilizing batch loading and editing tools, the Metadata Librarian will improve access, actionability, and processing of library resources while achieving workflow efficiencies. The successful candidate will also participate in customer service and collection development.

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, preferred ALA accredited MLS / MLIS degree and a minimum of five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
